Fire displaces residents at a Clayton County apartment complex

CLAYTON COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Fire crews battled an apartment fire in Clayton County Saturday evening.

It happened at Southlake Cove Apartments in Jonesboro.

Derrin Wright, a resident at the complex, says the fire was started by an electrical problem. Wright also said the fire began in the walls between her apartment and the one next door.

"The fire actually burned through to the kitchen behind my apartment" said Wright.

No injuries were reported from the fire.

The Red Cross is now assisting Wright and anyone displaced.
