Christmas gets brighter for some children in Fulton County

ALPHARETTA, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

The holidays just got a whole lot brighter for some children in Fulton County. They went shopping with police officers from the Alpharetta Police Department.

It's the 14th year of their "Shop with a Cop" event. This year, 70 kids were paired with officers and shopped at the Walmart on Winward Parkway. They picked up gifts for themselves and loved ones.

The children were selected by the Alpharetta Police Athletic League and North Fulton Community Charities.
