Gainesville SunTrust Bank robbed off Thompson Bridge Road

GAINESVILLE, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Gainesville police are investigating a bank robbery that happened at SunTrust Bank on Thompson Bridge Road.

Police said one of the robbers was carrying an assault rifle and the other carried a white bag.

The robber with the rifle demanded money and said something about a home foreclosure, according to employees.

Both men jumped over the teller counter to collect cash.

Police used a K-9 unit and patrol to search for the duo. Gainesville police said no one was injured.
