ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Gas South officially launched Project SHARE at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday by donating blankets to the Salvation Army homeless shelter in Atlanta.
Project SHARE is a Salvation Army program that helps needy families with food, shelter, clothing, medical supplies and utility bills.
Gas South customers can choose to donate any dollar amount through each month's natural gas bill. Gas South pledges to match each donation up to $5.00.
The money goes to help families in need. The money collected will stay in the county from which it originates.
