ATHENS, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Police are investigating after an armed robbery occurred at the Golden Pantry on west Broad Street in Athens.
An employee said the suspect was in the store for about an hour. The suspect said he was waiting for someone to pick him up.
As the employee took cash out of the register to take it to a safe drop box, the suspect walked up behind with a knife.
He took $232 from the register and took off.
The suspect had a large tattoo on the left side of his neck and was missing several teeth.
