Officers arrest robbery suspect in DeKalb County

DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

DeKalb County police said they arrested a man who shot at officers after a robbery at a Family Dollar store.

Police said the suspect fled the store and they were searching for him near Covington Highway and Young Road.

One officer reportedly saw the suspect kick in the door to 1854 Panola Rd.

DeKalb County SWAT was called to the scene just before 12:30 p.m.

Marbut Elementary, Panola Way Elementary and Redan Middle School was placed on lockdown while officers searched for the suspect.
