Atlanta police : Missing 1-year-old boy found safe

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Atlanta police were searching for a missing child and the woman that had him.

Police said on Nov. 26, Laquanda Sireka Burley, 25, dropped off her child, Malachi D. Burley, 1, with a woman named Sylvia Franklin.

On Thursday police said Franklin and the child were located just before 7:00 p.m.

Burley told police Franklin was supposed to watch Malachi for a week, but she had not heard from her since she dropped off her son with her at the Edgewood/Candler Park Marta Station.

Police are looking into the details of this report.
