Victim dies in hospital after propane explosion

DAWSON COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A victim has died from serious burns following a propane explosion in Dawson County.

Jimmy Lassetter died Thursday at the hospital.

The explosion happened at a facility where propane tanks are repaired and refurbished.

A crew of three people were delivering nearly 20 tanks Wednesday evening around 6:25 when one tank fell and ruptured.

The tank caught fire and exploded.

Another victim received second and third-degree burns.
