Repaired valve, geyser
ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
A ruptured water valve left businesses and residents in the area of Cascade Road and Cascade Parkway without water for several hours on Wednesday in Atlanta.
The break happened around 10 a.m. and caused a towering geyser that cut off water to a nearby shopping center, an apartment complex and to Kaiser Permanente Cascade Medical Center.
As of 12:30 p.m., Kaiser Permanente was referring all incoming patients to other Kaiser Permanente locations.
But shortly after 1:30 p.m., the valve was repaired and the water was turned back on to the surrounding area.
Check out the story at 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. on CBS Atlanta News and stay with CBSAtlanta.com for updates.
