FULTON COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
A 35-year-old mother involved in a deadly accident waived her arraignment and asked for a jury trial on Thursday.
Police said Syreeta Collins' teenage daughter lost control of her car on Camp Creek Parkway in March.
The teen clipped a Saturn in which teacher Shireen Haynes, 40, was a passenger. Haynes died at the scene.
Another teacher and her husband were both seriously injured in the accident.
Collins was charged with allowing an unauthorized driver to operate a vehicle because her daughter was following her in another car.
A jury trial date has yet to be set for Collins.
Her teenage daughter was charged with second-degree vehicular homicide.
