ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
According to a new article released by The American Academy of Pediatrics, doctors should talk to teens about emergency contraception options like Plan B and Next Choice, as well as make advance prescriptions available for girls under 17.
Emergency contraception is designed to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex.
AAP says nearly 80 percent of teen pregnancies in the U.S. are unplanned.
