Fire leaves several families homeless

CLARKSTON, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A fire at the Brannon Hill apartments left several families homeless on Friday.

DeKalb County firefighters responded to 6508 Brannon Hill Rd. in Clarkston. One firefighter was transported to the hospital as a precaution. It was unclear why.

The Red Cross is helping seven families, 18 adults and 18 children.
