ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
The Macy's Great Tree Lighting at Lenox Square Mall kicked off the holiday shopping season. A variety of entertainers charmed the crowd including country star Trace Adkins.
This is the 65th year for the tree lighting. The 35-year-old white pine arrived and was put atop of Macy's on Nov. 11. The tree was cut from a residence in Mableton, GA.
Festivities began at 7 p.m. while fireworks set to holiday music capped off the Macy's Great Tree Lighting.
