ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
The family of a missing man discovered his body Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to North Avenue around 10:30 a.m. and discovered a man in his 30s dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
Police said the family of the victim reported him missing on Sunday.
The family was conducting a canvass of areas he was known to frequent and discovered the car with him inside and called police.
Detectives are working to determine if the gunshot was self-inflicted or if this is a homicide.
Police have not released the identity of the victim.
