PENSACOLA, FL (CBS ATLANTA) -
Twins accused in the murder of a Pensacola journalist were booked into a Florida jail Friday night.
William and Christopher Cormier had signed a waiver of extradition last week.
The twins face armed robbery and murder charges in the death of Sean Dugas, a former reporter with the Pensacola News Journal.
Investigators discovered Dugas' body Oct. 8. It was found in a plastic container encased in cement, buried behind the twins' father's home on Sixth Avenue in Winder, GA.
Winder police had gone to the home after being contacted by Florida authorities investigating Dugas' disappearance.
The twins originally faced charges in Georgia but investigators determined the slaying likely happened in Florida.
From Winder, the Cormiers were taken to the Escambia County Jail in Florida. William Cormier's booking time was just before 7 p.m. CST while his brother Christopher was booked in shortly after 8 p.m.
Both are scheduled to make a court appearance on Dec. 7 at 8:30 a.m., according to the jail records.
The Pensacola Police Department is investigating the murder of Dugas.
