A man escaped significant injury but a woman walking with him was hospitalized after they were struck by a car while walking on a College Park road early Monday.
Police said the two were walking on the 5000 block of Old National Highway near the Oceans 66 nightclub at around 1:30 a.m. It is unclear whether or not they had just left the club.
The woman suffered multiple broken bones and was unconscious when paramedics arrived. She was taken to a local hospital. The man had minor injuries and was treated on scene, police said.
The driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with investigators. Police have not released the identities of anyone involved.
Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
