COBB COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Parents in Cobb County might start doing things a bit differently now after a weekend full of parenting classes.
Parents Palooza at the Cobb Galleria Centre had plenty of activities to keep kids occupied while parents tried to pick up a few tips.
There were dozens of booths and workshops to teach parents about everything from car seats and healthy eating, to mentoring kids through their teens.
Dr. Deborah Gilboa with Ask Dr. G said it was one stop shopping for currents parents, and parents to be.
"Parents learn that everybody has questions, frustrations, joys and obstacles. It really empowers parents and it gives them the tools they haven't thought about, but also the sense of solidarity. My kids are no different then anybody else's kids and everyone is working to do the best they can," said Gilboa.
The event fell on Veterans Day so there was a special effort to teach kids about the holiday and why its important to thank our military members.
