ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Delta Air Lines, Inc. will dedicate a Boeing 757 aircraft as the "Spirit of Freedom" in honor of Veterans Day and all men and women who currently serve or have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
The celebration will take place Friday.
Delta will honor each branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, recognizing more than 10,000 Delta employees who serve or have served the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard.
Hundreds of Delta employees along with elected officials and representatives from military service and Atlanta-based charities will gather to commemorate this milestone.
The Delta Honor Guard, an employee-led initiative that helps transport fallen heroes, will open the program along with an employee quartet, which will sing the national anthem.
