The incident started as a domestic disturbance at around 11:30 p.m. at the Bentley Place Apartments off Tucker Norcross Road.

Police said the suspect, 57-year-old David Blackley, was intoxicated and was making threats against his mother and said he'd shoot anyone who came near him.

Officers were able to safely bring him out of the home in handcuffs just after 4 a.m. Wednesday.

Blackley was charged with simple assault.
