Child falls from third story window in Dunwoody

DUNWOODY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Dunwoody Police and DeKalb County Fire departments are on the scene at the Wellesley Apartments on Meadow Lane where a 6-year-old girl fell from a third floor bedroom window.

According to authorities, the child was bouncing on a bed with her siblings and lost her balance.

She fell about 40-50 feet through a nearby open window.

The child sustained minor injuries and is being transported to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite.
