NEW YORK (CBS ATLANTA) -
One of New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's sign-language interpreters has become an Internet sensation.
Lydia Callis practically stole the spotlight as Bloomberg warned New Yorkers about approaching Superstorm Sandy.
Her dramatic expressions and body language prompted New York Magazine to call her "a legitimate reason to smile," even as the storm moved in.
When Bloomberg appeared with a different interpreter days later, fans took to Twitter to make their disappointment known.
