ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Starting Friday, paper checks will no longer be an option for Georgia unemployment recipients.
Instead, they will have to choose between direct deposit into their checking account or a debit card with a Mastercard logo.
The Georgia Labor Department said the change is more consumer friendly and will save the agency almost a million dollars a year it spent printing the checks.
