Mayor Kasim Reed hosts 2012 Forever Young Ball

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

On Monday evening Mayor Kasim Reed hosted his third annual Forever Young Ball.

More than 4,000 seniors were expected at the Marriott Marquis in downtown Atlanta.

Reed saluted the thousands of seniors at the free, red carpet celebration which includes live entertainment, dancing and prize giveaways.

The event is designed to encourage seniors to stay active and healthy through community programs and outreach initiatives.
