Paul Ryan event shuts down northbound Downtown Connector, I-75

Traffic back up for Ryan event

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A fundraising event for the Romney campaign taking place Wednesday night in Cobb County has temporarily shut down a section of the northbound Downtown Connector and Interstate 75 in Atlanta.

The fundraiser, taking place at the Cobb Energy Center, kicks off at 7 p.m. and will feature vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan.

The northbound lanes of the Downtown Connector are currently closed from Downtown Atlanta to the Interstate 75/85 split.

The northbound lanes of Interstate 75 from the split up to Interstate 285 are also shut down, as are all northbound exit ramps.
