Since the late 1970s, the Campbelton Road/Barge Road Marta Park and Ride remained untouched. General maintenance was disregarded and the situation continued to get worse.
Two weeks ago, Pothole Patrol discovered that while MARTA buses use the lot, the lot is owned by Georgia Department of Transportation.
After contacting GDOT representatives, the state agreed to repave the entire lot.
It also agreed to repair another Park and Ride at Flat Shoals Road and I-85.
Pothole Harry is hoping the City of Atlanta will follow the state's example by fixing a sidewalk outside the Park and Ride directly across from the lot.
