Man killed in industrial accident at Canton chicken plant

CANTON, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A man was killed after an industrial accident at Pilgrim's Pride chicken plant in Canton.

Around 2 p.m. Tuesday, Cherokee County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the plant on Univeter Road.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered a man who had been killed following an industrial accident.

Police said the man has been identified Christopher Chin, 37, of Canton.

Cherokee Sheriff's detectives are on the scene investigating the incident but foul play is not suspected.
