DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
As the presidential candidates took to the stage Monday night for their third and final debate before the election, a group of students gathered at Emory University to listen in.
The viewing party was hosted by Emory's Barkley Forum Debate Team and staff members.
About 50 students showed up to watch President Barack Obama and former Gov. Mitt Romney debate foreign policy.
Debate coach Bill Newnam called the student turnout low but engaging.
Some students shared with CBS Atlanta about what they liked about the debate.
"I think Obama actually understands the issues that are at play here," said Laura Withers, a senior.
"I think Romney is presenting himself well," said Winston Hanks, a junior.
The students were given a form and asked to grade both candidates throughout the debate. A little less than half turned the forms in, with 15 indicating that Obama won, one for Romney and one undecided.
