Report: Hospice worker stole jewelry from home

VILLA RICA, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Villa Rica police said they arrested a hospice worker for stealing jewelry.

Police received the report on Oct. 16.

The victim said three rings valued at $775 were missing from her home on Industrial Boulevard.

During the investigation, it was discovered that her hospice care employee Michelle Thomas, 37, had taken the jewelry and sold it in Douglasville.

Thomas was charged with theft by taking.
