AVONDALE ESTATES, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
On Monday afternoon Avondale Estates police officers responded to a residential burglary in the 100 block of Fairfield Drive.
A homeowner had arrived home and saw two suspects leaving across the back yard of the home.
The perpetrators fled over a privacy fence into an adjoining apartment complex.
A K-9 unit was brought to the scene, but the track was lost after the suspect left the south end of the complex into Forrest Hills.
Police are searching for a male and female in their late teens to early 20s.
Further investigation revealed the suspects entered through a window on the side of the home near the garage.
Items known to be taken are a laptop computer and some jewelry.
