ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
An ongoing altercation among a group of men in a southwest Atlanta neighborhood ended with a man stabbed, and a teen with a severe jaw injury.
Around 2:45 a.m., officers responded to a home on Birch Street about a person stabbed.
Atlanta police said the fight began between the teen's father, Robert Holt, and two other men earlier in the day.
The men, Darius Hambrick and Gabria Jackson, according to police, returned to the home and began a verbal altercation with Holt.
When the juvenile came outside to check on his father, police said he was punched by Jackson.
Police said Holt then went inside and returned with a knife and stabbed Hambrick. Jackson fled the scene.
Police said it appeared all three men knew each other and may have had an ongoing dispute.
Both Hambrick and the teen were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition.
Holt was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
The Division of Family and Children Services was notified and arrangements are being made for the teen's care.
