Surveillance video of burglar on Northside Drive
SANDY SPRINGS, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Sandy Springs detectives hope someone calls them Thursday with information after police released surveillance video of a female burglar.
A woman was caught on camera trying to slip under an open garage door at a home in the 4700 block of Northside Drive. She ran after spotting the family dog.
Sandy Springs police told CBS Atlanta News that this was the second home on that street in recent days where crooks tried to get inside.
Just a couple of miles away, five homes have been burglarized in Northwest Atlanta. Three of the homes are on Regency Road.
"It's not a good feeling when you go out for dinner or something like that. You always wonder if you come home, if you're going to have a problem or not, facing something stolen or whatever," Nossi Taheri, a neighbor said.
Police said it remained unclear if the burglaries were connected.
Regardless, Taheri wanted to see the woman in the video caught.
"I hate to tell you. I have a revolver next to me at night. I told my wife if somebody breaks in, I'm not going to ask questions," Taheri said.
Anyone with information about the woman in the video is asked to call police.
