DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
DeKalb County police are investigating a death near Stone Mountain.
It happened at the Lancashire Court Apartments.
Police said a resident in the complex noticed a door being open at a neighbors place. He got suspicious so he looked inside and saw a body.
He immediately called 911.
Police have released very few details, but they did say they were investigating the death as a homicide.
One neighbor told CBS Atlanta News she heard a loud boom.
Another neighbor said he didn't hear anything and he's shocked something like this would happen so close to his home.
"There have been shootings in surrounding areas, but never here. We have young kids playing in here. It's a good environment so it's a shock," said Robert Withers.
