Missing hunter found safe Sunday in Oglethorpe County

OGLETHORPE COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Don Truluck, the man last seen Wednesday at his hunting camp, was found safe Sunday around 10 a.m.

The 72-year-old was located in Oglethorpe County at 714 Bryant Road in Maxeys, GA, about a mile outside of the camp.

Truluck was taken to Athens Regional Medical Center in stable condition.

Authorities said this was the largest search and rescue operation in Oglethorpe County history.

The search began Friday afternoon and included a multi-agency response of 162 personnel.
