FOREST PARK, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

CBS Atlanta News investigated after the Department of Driver Services in Forest Park closed it's doors on Thursday.

According to a press release, the licensing center at 5036 State Route 85 closed due to a technical emergency.

Forest Park customers were being routed to either the Locust Grove or Fayetteville licensing centers.

"I think it's a bad system," customer Wayland Lindsay said. "It's not improving, the lines are getting longer and it's just getting to be a headache."

But not everyone who went to the Forest Park's DDS location on Thursday left upset. Some understood that computer systems sometimes shutdown unexpectedly.

"Well, most of the time when I come here they be right on point," said customer Benjamin Wilkes.

According to a press release, there was a large service area surrounding the DDS Forest Park customer service center that was without AT& T service.

Service was restored at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, according to a DDS employee.

DDS anticipates business as usual on Friday.
