ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
A news anchor from Wisconsin is making news of her own after posting a video response to a viewer's email attacking her weight.
Jennifer Livingston is a morning anchor for the CBS station in La Crosse, WI.
She made the video to address what she called a bullying email from a viewer attacking her weight.
"The truth is, I am overweight," Livingston said. "But to the person who wrote me that letter, do you think I don't know that? That your cruel words are pointing out something that I don't see? You don't know me ... so you know nothing about me but what you see on the outside and I am much more than a number on a scale."
During her response she reminded viewers that October is National Anti-Bullying Awareness Month. She made it clear that she felt the email was a form of bullying made easy through the Internet.
Since her video posted, Livingston has gotten support from fans on Twitter.
"That is frigging awesome. Wisconsin news anchor Jennifer Livingston responds to a fat-shaming email directly on-air," said Twitter user Jessica Reed.
"Jennifer Livingston, thank you for your incredible words. You are lovely and beautiful inside and out," Greg Rikaart posted on Twitter.
