MARIETTA, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Area nonprofits are asking for the public's help to resupply their diminished stock of diapers.
It's called Cobb Diaper Day and the goal is to collect 100,000 diapers to give out to needy families.
Carla Pierce, program director for Christian Aid Mission Partnership, told CBS Atlanta News that the need for food is great, but lack of diapers has placed her organization in the desperate zone.
Pierce said her organization has started to turn away families in need of diapers.
"Can (you) imagine going a week, a day without diapers for your child?" Pierce said. "It makes things very complicated."
You can help out by donating diapers on Oct. 29 at Marietta Square in downtown Marietta. The drop off starts at 5 p.m.
