Gwinnett County businessman pleads guilty to corruption charges

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

There are new developments in the corruption charges surrounding a Gwinnett County businessman.

Monday, Mark Gary pleaded guilty to paying the former Gwinnett County commissioner $30,000 for her vote.

He's accused of bribing Shirley Lasseter in June of 2009 to vote for the development of a solid waste transfer station.

Last month, a federal judge sentenced Lasseter to nearly three years in prison.
