Former Falcons player arrested on DUI charges

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A former Atlanta Falcons football player was arrested over the weekend.

Raymond Louis Buchanan was arrested early Saturday morning after a Gwinnett County police officer spotted Buchanan's SUV going 95 mph and darting in and out of traffic on I-85 North.

While the officer was talking to Buchanan, he noticed a strong odor of alcohol.

After investigating, Buchanan was arrested on charges of DUI, speeding and improper lane change.

Buchanan was taken to the Gwinnett County Police Department and given a state administered breath test.

Buchanan blew a .091 and was taken to the Gwinnett County Jail.
