Driver charged with DUI, vehicular homicide

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

The Fulton County Medical Examiner's office has identified a passenger killed in a single-car accident Saturday morning.

Patricia Lie, 21, of Suwanee was killed when the car she was riding in crashed on the ramp between I-75 and I-85.

The accident happened around 5 a.m. Lie was one of two passengers in a 2012 Toyota Corolla that was traveling southbound on I-75 and left the roadway as the driver attempted to enter I-85 northbound. The vehicle struck the embankment beside the road, according to the Atlanta Police Department. 

The driver and a second passenger were transported to Grady Hospital. They were listed in stable condition.

Police charged the driver, Stephanie Jang, 20, of Duluth with DUI, reckless driving, homicide by vehicle and failure to maintain lane.  

The accident is still under investigation.
