Northwest Atlanta home severely damaged in overnight fire

Mark Melvin/CBS Atlanta- Fire crews work to contain an overnight house fire in northwest Atlanta.

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Residents of an Atlanta home will return to significant damage after fire tore through their house early Tuesday morning.

Crews responded to the home on Echo Street at around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday and found flames shooting from the back of the home.

Firefighters determined no one was home at the time of the fire and there were no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
