Mayor Reed: More than 100 homeless veterans housed in 100 days

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Mayor Kasim Reed and the Atlanta Veterans Affairs Office announced Monday a joint commitment to end chronic veterans' homelessness in Atlanta by 2013.

As part of a national campaign with 14 cities, Atlanta was charged with re-housing 100 homeless veterans in 100 days.

In partnership with numerous agencies, Atlanta exceeded that goal with 131 chronically homeless veterans moving into permanent supportive housing in Atlanta.
