ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Atlanta police said an accidental shooting led to a car crash Sunday evening.
It happened on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway.
Police said the driver, Curtis Trimble, pulled out a gun to show it to Denard Harrell. The gun went off and Harrell was shot in the face.
Trimble told police he put Harrell in his vehicle and attempted to drive him to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment.
While traveling on Piedmont Avenue, Trimble ran the light at Decatur Street and T-boned a minivan carrying three people.
Three people in the van were taken to the hospital.
Harrell was taken to the hospital by an off-duty Grady Memorial Hospital nurse, prior to police arriving on the scene.
Trimble is charged with the accident in addition to a gun charge.
