DeKalb County police investigating possible child abuse of 3-week-old child

DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

DeKalb County police are investigating a possible case of child abuse on a 3-week-old child.

The infant girl was brought to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston on Tuesday.

After doctors finished their testing on the child, they found significant injuries that were abusive in nature.

The doctors then called DeKalb County police.

The infant is in critical, but stable condition.

No arrests have been made at this time.
