Marietta Police holding 2nd Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

MARIETTA, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day will take place on Sept. 29 in the lobby of the Marietta Police Department.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Residents can take their accumulated unwanted, unused prescription drugs and safely dispose them so they don't get into the wrong hands.

On April 28, citizens turned in a record-breaking 552,161 pounds of unwanted or expired medications in all 50 states.
