Georgia Tech campus
ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
On Tuesday, a group of Georgia Tech students will rally for guns on campus.
A group called Students for Concealed Carry will recognize U.S. Constitution Week by focusing on the Second Amendment, which is the right to bear arms.
Student Sean Ryan said he owns a gun and supports guns on campus.
"It's not just about protecting yourself, it's about protecting other people around you," Ryno said.
However, other students worried guns on campus would create more problems.
"I think with the fragile mental health of students on campus, it might be a bad idea," said Deborah Ortiz.
Students for Concealed Carry will raffle off shooting lessons Tuesday. Young Americans for Liberty will also distribute pocket-sized copies of the U.S. Constitution along Tech Walkway throughout the week. Georgia Tech College Republicans is also participating.
Wednesday is Economic Freedom Day, and Thursday marks Fourth Amendment Day.
