MONROE COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
A Fort Bragg man was killed Friday in a two-car accident on Highway 41S near Bolingbroke.
Anthony Carlos Burge, 35, died after a Kawasaki motorcycle he was riding struck a Civic attempting to make a left turn near Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
The driver of the Civic, Dayne Scott Sullivan, 23, was taken to the Medical Center of Central Georgia.
Investigators said Burge was traveling south on Highway 41 behind a dump truck, which was behind Sullivan.
Sullivan attempted to make a left turn across the railroad tracks at the same moment Burge attempted to pass the dump truck, which was between the Civic and Burge, according to reports.
Burge was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Sullivan and Burge were both using turn signals, and Burge was wearing a helmet.
No charges are expected and the investigation into this incident continues.
