ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
The Atlanta Police Department will participate in the "Brighten Up Broad Street" event Friday.
The event will bring out residents and business owners dedicated to improving the Broad Street area between MLK Jr. Drive and Mitchell Street.
"We know that APD has, and will continue to, put resources in this area," said Dorthey Hurst, Chair of the NPU-M Public Safety Committee. "Neighbors that live in the area expressed seeing notable improvements. This is a celebration to bring us all together to see the vision."
The event will feature food and entertainment and run from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
