ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Atlanta police are trying to determine how a utility pole fell into a busy Midtown intersection late Thursday night as crews work to make repairs.

A call came into 911 just before 11 p.m. reporting the pole and wires at North Ave and Piedmont Ave. There was so sign of what caused the pole to fall when officers arrived.

Crews working on scene told CBS Atlanta that the pole carried three phone lines and one cable line. Since none of them were severed when the pole fell, there were no service outages in the area.

It's unclear how long it will take to repair the pole.
