I-75 in Bartow Co. open after overturned dump truck accident

BARTOW COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

An accident involving an overturned dump truck shut down several lanes of Interstate 75 in Bartow County.

One northbound lane and two southbound lanes were shut down at mile post 305, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

The road re-opened just before 5:30 p.m.

The dump truck overturned in the median and the driver was ejected, according to a spokesperson with the Georgia State Patrol.

The driver was air lifted to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. Their condition was unknown, according the GSP spokesperson.
