CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
A motorcyclist was seriously injured when the bike she was riding on was struck by a truck Wednesday morning.
It happened on GA 140, Reinhardt College Parkway, at Hickory Nut Drive in Cherokee County.
Officials in Cherokee County said Stephanie Marie Christ, 22, of Canton, pulled from Hickory Nut and into the path of an eastbound Chevrolet S10 truck being driven by Larry Richard Mason, 62, from Waleska, MS.
Mason struck Christ and ran her over, sending his truck into a ditch.
Christ was airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
Mason was checked at the scene. No charges have been filed.
